We are located 2.8km from Kundasang town, directly visible via your raw eyes. In comparison, Desa Milk is 6km from the town. So we are about half way from there.

Journey to Wind Paradise Mongolian Yurt should take less than 10 minutes from Kundasang town.

Please read before you go...

From Kundasang town, go towards direction of Mersilau/Desa Milk. Go straight down the hill for 1500m until you reach a river. Then go uphill for 800m, you will see a blue signboard "Wind Paradise". That is where we are.

From there it is a 1 minute concrete road and you will reach mongolian yurt.

Do not use lowered car, any normal car can go up.

- Bicycle, Motorcycle, Car (kancil, myvi, saga), 13 seaters van like Toyota Hiace
- 4wd

What vehicle cannot reach Wind Paradise?

You can do bbq or steamboat here. Please inform in advance under special request when booking.

Customers can enjoy super sunrise at relaxation deck. We also has 5 BBQ areas and steamboat areas. Normally it is enough for everyone (no need to share with other people). At night, you can also enjoy Kundasang night view and millions of stars at our new stargazing platform.

We have a big area with tables and chairs for company event. It can fits about 50 person.

All rooms have private toilet with water heater inside your own room

[ Food ]

BBQ is a favourite activity here as the weather is cold and night view is great.
There are 5 BBQ areas where you can use for free (no extra charge). For BBQ, you need to bring along your own food, grill (3 feet x 3 feet), charcoal and other tools.

Steamboat is another simple and fun activity. Just bring your own food and everything else is readily available here. Table, chair, plates, fork and spoon are all ready for use.

For BBQ food and preparation, there is a good place to get your supplies.

There are also many restaurants in Kundasang town. Food is normally ok and reasonably priced. In Kundasang town, you can also find KFC, bank, grocery stores, and even a small petrol station.

We don't have a kitchen or cafe, but you can cook using the provided bbq / steamboat tools.

Located far away from city lights, Wind Paradise is a perfect spot for star lovers.
You can even see milkyway with just your raw eyes.

Sabah has a tropical hot and humid weather (equatorial climate). Temperatures normally ranging from 20°C (68°F) to 32°C (90°F).

Weather in Kundasang is much colder as it is at a higher elevation and located just next to Kinabalu Park World Heritage.

You should always book according to the number of person including kids.
Children below 12 years old are considered complimentary and can be excluded in the headcount.
Please note that it doesn't imply unlimited accommodation for more than 2 children.

Q: I have 5 person and want to stay together?
A: Sure, just add one bed in room for 4 person, so the total would be for 5 person.

Q: I have 6 person and want to stay together?
Option 1: You can book 2 rooms for that. It is much more comfortable and you get 2 toilets (Every room has own private toilet).
Option 2: You can add 2 extra bed in some of our bigger unit.

Q: I have 7 person and want to stay together?
A: Please book 2 rooms or more for that purpose. It is much more comfortable.

Q: I have 8 person and want to stay together?
A: Please book 2 rooms or more for that purpose. It is much more comfortable.

Q: I have 9+ person and want to stay together?
A: Our place might not be suitable for you. Please look elsewhere.

Q: I see you have Mongolian Yurt Chalet and Wooden lodge, what is the difference?
A: Mongolian Yurt chalet is round in shape, it is based on the tradisional mongolian house by mongolian people. Wooden lodge is square/rectangular in shape, just like normal hotel rooms.

Q: Do you have carpark?
A: Yes.

Q: Someone said the road is very narrow, is it true?
A: Road to mongolian yurt is 99% asphalt (main road), with the last portion is concrete cement road. Although is a narrow road, it is only 1 minute in length.

Q: I heard we need a 4wd to go there?
A: All normal cars can reach here easily. Just do not bring your sports car. Kundasang area is better explored with a bigger car because is a hilly area. But any normal car is also possible, just slower.
